Experience Supernatural Thrills at Winchester Mystery House’s Fright Nights

The highly anticipated Festival Fright Nights will take place at the Winchester Mystery House from September 26 to November 1, 2023. This year’s event promises an immersive exploration of the estate’s intriguing lore, crafted in partnership with Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group. Attendees can look forward to three new haunted attractions, offering unique paths and previously inaccessible spaces, alongside theatrical experiences and themed food and beverage options.
One of the main attractions, “The Masquerade of Shadows,” transports visitors to a 1924 Halloween ball that descends into chaos as an ancient portal unleashes vengeful spirits. The terror escalates in “The Root of All Evil,” where the mansion’s gardens become a treacherous landscape. The experience culminates in “The Final Descent,” featuring a forbidden wing where seances are conducted, and the lingering presence of Sarah Winchester casts a haunting shadow as the basement transforms into a battleground between the living and the dead.
Ashley Hill, general manager of Festival Fright Nights, remarked, “With Festival Fright Nights, Thirteenth Floor is bringing the mansion’s history and legend to life in an entirely new way, transforming its haunted halls into a stage where guests step directly into its secrets and spirit.” This sentiment reflects the event’s goal to create a captivating atmosphere that intertwines history with immersive horror.
In addition to the main attractions, guests can indulge in several engaging add-ons, including axe throwing, hidden speakeasies, and immersive experiences like the Maestro’s Masquerade Ball. Other activities will feature a flashlight tour of the basement and a séance led by the renowned illusionist Harry Houdini.
Tickets for this thrilling experience start at $54.99 and can be purchased through the official website, festivalfrightnights.com. The Winchester Mystery House is situated at 525 S Winchester Blvd, San Jose, making it an easily accessible destination for thrill-seekers and fans of the supernatural.
This year’s Festival Fright Nights aims to offer a fresh perspective on the legendary estate, inviting participants to delve into the mysteries of its haunted past while enjoying a range of engaging activities designed to enhance the overall experience.
