Brooke Mueller Claims Charlie Sheen Owes Nearly $15 Million in Support

Brooke Mueller, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, has filed court documents alleging that Sheen owes her approximately $15.4 million in back child support. The claim includes nearly $9 million in unpaid support and more than $6 million in accumulated interest. Mueller’s accusations come as part of her ongoing legal battle with Sheen, and she is requesting a court hearing to determine the exact amount owed.

In a submission made on December 4, 2024, Mueller asserts that Sheen has not fulfilled his financial obligations stemming from their divorce settlement. Sheen was awarded $660,000 per year for child support. However, Mueller claims that since their divorce, Sheen has made only sporadic payments, leading to the current arrears.

According to the documents filed by Mueller, she believes that the total amount owed by Sheen for child support from March 1, 2011, to December 2, 2025, is $8,967,600. This figure is compounded by her claim that Sheen owes an additional $6.4 million in interest, bringing the grand total to $15,386,000. Mueller’s motion also requests that Sheen pay $25,000 toward her legal fees related to this action.

Mueller details in her court declaration the extent of Sheen’s alleged missed payments. She claims he made only $295,000 in 2011 despite being required to pay $550,000. From 2012 to 2015, she states that he failed to make any payments at all, while in subsequent years, he made small contributions: $96,000 in 2016, $228,366 in 2017, and $113,000 in 2018. Notably, Mueller claims that Sheen made no payments in 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022, with a total of $20,000 in 2023, $30,000 in 2024, and $39,000 so far this year.

In her statement to the court, Mueller said, “Charlie made full child support payments through June 2011. Beginning in July 2011, he made either partial payments or failed to make any payments.” The ongoing dispute has raised significant public interest, particularly given the couple’s tumultuous history.

Back in 2024, Sheen submitted court documents claiming he had reached an agreement with Mueller regarding their custody arrangement. The couple shares custody of their children, but the agreement stipulated that Sheen would gain sole custody if Mueller relapsed into substance abuse. This agreement underscores the complex dynamics of their relationship, which has been marred by public incidents and personal struggles.

Mueller has also been open about her experiences in the public eye, including her appearance in Sheen’s Netflix documentary released in September. In this documentary, she discussed their marriage candidly, reflecting on the difficulties they faced, including a notable incident in Aspen where Sheen was taken into custody for threatening her with a knife. Although Sheen did not address this incident in the documentary, Mueller expressed gratitude towards him for his support during her struggles with substance abuse, stating, “Charlie really stepped up when my stuff was going dark.”
