AJLI Launches ‘Every Woman. All Things.’ to Address Women’s Mental Load

The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) has launched a significant national initiative titled Every Woman. All Things. on October 10, 2025, coinciding with World Mental Health Day. This campaign aims to highlight the often-overlooked pressures women face daily, contributing to mental overload. By elevating awareness around this issue, the initiative seeks to foster conversations about reducing anxiety and stress stemming from societal expectations that women “do it all.”
Through a visual representation, the campaign emphasizes the diverse roles women inhabit—mother, caregiver, leader, mentor, professional, volunteer, and advocate—reflecting the multifaceted weight of these expectations. As Melanie Schild, CEO of AJLI, stated, “At AJLI, we know that women are the backbone of strong communities, but too often, the many roles and responsibilities put on them go unrecognized—despite the toll they take.”
The Every Woman. All Things. initiative is more than just a campaign; it represents a call to action for collective change that women urgently need and deserve. It aims to convey to women everywhere: “We see you, we honor you, and you are not alone.”
Empowering Women Through Community Engagement
In collaboration with Junior Leagues across 296 communities worldwide, AJLI is committed to bringing this message directly to the public. The campaign is grounded in the organization’s core principles of promoting voluntarism, developing women’s potential, and improving communities through effective leadership and action. For nearly 125 years, Junior League members have collectively worked to equip women with the tools necessary to lead, serve, and tackle some of society’s most pressing challenges.
“This campaign is a continuation of our mission: empowering women while elevating the realities they face in constructive and compassionate ways,” Schild added. By making these daily burdens visible, AJLI aims to help communities understand the complexities of women’s lives and the importance of creating structures that allow them to thrive.
