Wellable Expands Employee Wellness with Bright Breaks Acquisition
On November 3, 2025, Wellable announced the acquisition of wellness platform Bright Breaks, enhancing its position as a leader in employee wellness solutions. This strategic move aims to provide organizations with innovative tools to combat burnout and improve employee productivity through structured wellness breaks.
Enhancing Employee Well-being
Bright Breaks is known for its unique ability to integrate short, interactive breaks into employees’ schedules, allowing teams to recharge and refocus throughout the workday. The platform offers a variety of daily live breaks that last just seven minutes, encouraging activities such as meditation, stretching, dance, and strength training. This approach not only fosters better physical health but also promotes mental well-being.
The acquisition allows Wellable to expand its offerings, providing users with access to a robust on-demand library of wellness resources. A smart scheduling feature coordinates with Outlook and Google calendars, seamlessly finding time for breaks without disrupting work responsibilities. This integration is designed to help employees maintain engagement while mitigating stress and preventing burnout.
Amanda Kuron, Vice President of Content at Wellable, emphasized the alignment of the acquisition with the company’s vision: “Acquiring Bright Breaks is a natural extension of Wellable’s vision to make well-being an effortless, everyday experience.” She added that the micro-breaks empower employees to reset and recharge, which ultimately fosters deeper motivation and connectivity among teams.
Bright Breaks’ Impact and Future
Founded in 2020, Bright Breaks has established itself as a significant player in workplace wellness by creating a frictionless and inclusive experience for employees. Research indicates that taking regular breaks to engage in physical activity or mindfulness can lead to a productivity increase of up to 40% and a reduction in burnout rates.
David Howe, CEO of Bright Breaks, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This is the perfect home for Bright Breaks. Wellable shares our passion for making wellness accessible, sustainable, and integrated.” He believes that together, the two organizations can promote a break culture across enterprises, providing teams with new avenues to recharge and thrive.
As part of the integration, existing Bright Breaks clients will gain access to Wellable’s comprehensive suite of capabilities, which includes holistic wellness challenges, rewards and recognition programs, multimedia content, coaching, and data reporting, all under one unified user experience.
Headquartered in Boston, Wellable operates globally with additional offices in San Diego and Washington, D.C.. The company is dedicated to unlocking individual potential and redefining the future of work by enhancing workplace culture and improving employee health.
Wellable’s solutions cater to organizations of various sizes, offering customizable wellness challenges, education resources, integrated rewards, personalized coaching, and both live and virtual events to promote a healthier work environment.
With this acquisition, Wellable is poised to further its mission of facilitating employee well-being, thereby setting a higher standard for workplace wellness initiatives.
