Jalen Ramsey Ejected After Altercation with Ja’Marr Chase
A heated confrontation unfolded during the NFL game on November 16, 2025, between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals, resulting in the ejection of Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter, with just over twelve minutes left on the clock, following an altercation with Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
As the Steelers secured a decisive 34-12 victory, tensions escalated when Ramsey retaliated against Chase, who allegedly spat at him. Following the ejection, Ramsey claimed that Chase’s actions warranted his response, stating, “He spit on me. I don’t give a f*ck about football after that, respectfully.”
Video footage captured by FOX 19 WXIX-TV appears to show saliva leaving Chase’s mouth just before Ramsey threw a punch. Ramsey expressed his frustration, emphasizing that while he enjoys competitive banter on the field, crossing the line with spitting changed the dynamics of their exchange.
“I was still a little too nice if I’m keeping it honest with you,” Ramsey remarked, confident that the NFL would review the incident given the extensive camera coverage available.
Chase, however, denied the allegations, asserting, “I ain’t ever opened my mouth to that guy. I didn’t spit on nobody.” His comments came during a postgame media session.
The confrontation has sparked debate among fans and analysts alike. Some have called for a formal boxing match between the two players, highlighting the intensity of their rivalry.
Despite the chaos, the Steelers celebrated their victory, while the Bengals faced scrutiny over the on-field incident. The NFL is expected to address the altercation in due course, with both players likely awaiting any disciplinary actions.
As the season progresses, this incident may have implications for both players and their teams, further intensifying their rivalry in future matchups.
