Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos Named Business of the Quarter in Red Bluff
The Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce recently honored Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos as the Business of the Quarter, recognizing its commitment to quality service and community involvement. This family-owned business, located at 945 South Main St. in Red Bluff, specializes in dry cleaning and fabric care, offering a wide range of services that cater to both individual and commercial clients.
Founded and operated by Dan and Kim Berry, Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos boasts over 35 years of experience in the industry. Kim Berry holds several industry certifications, including the Garment-Care Professional designation, while Production Manager Annette Bailey brings 25 years of expertise as a certified dry cleaner. The business is also an authorized retailer of Jim’s Formal Wear, enhancing its reputation in formal clothing care.
Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos distinguishes itself through a variety of services, including spot and stain removal, alterations, and specialized cleaning for rugs, draperies, comforters, and bedding. The company is dedicated to eco-friendly practices, utilizing an organic, 99-percent corn-based, biodegradable solvent that is safe for fabrics and the environment. This commitment to sustainability resonates well with a growing consumer base that prioritizes environmentally responsible choices.
Dave Gowan, CEO of the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce, praised the business for its exceptional customer service. He noted, “Customer service is truly at the heart of Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos. Their team prides itself on educating customers about their garments — from fabric types to garment construction — and the professional processes used to care for them.” Each item is subjected to a meticulous inspection process, with seven points of scrutiny before being returned to customers, ensuring every piece is restored to a like-new condition.
In addition to its service offerings, Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos actively contributes to local initiatives. The business partners annually with the Department of Education and various local organizations for the Coats for Kids program, which provides hundreds of coats to children in need. Kim Berry also founded the Back-to-School Project, a community effort that has supplied new clothing, shoes, and backpacks to local students for over 20 years.
The recognition as Business of the Quarter underscores Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos’ dual commitment to business excellence and community service. As the company continues to grow, it remains dedicated to providing quality services while making a positive impact on the Red Bluff community.
