Marta Kluczyńska Appointed Music Director of Polish Royal Opera

The Polish Royal Opera has appointed Marta Kluczyńska as its new Deputy General Manager. This significant announcement highlights Kluczyńska’s extensive experience and contributions to the institution, where she has previously led numerous performances and concerts.

With a solid academic foundation, Kluczyńska graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. There, she specialized in symphonic and operatic conducting under the guidance of Prof. Marek Pijarowski and honed her piano skills with Prof. Elżbieta Karaś- Krasztel. Kluczyńska’s education has equipped her with the tools necessary for her new role.

Her reach extends beyond Poland, as she has participated in prestigious programs including the Hart Institute for Women Conductors at the Dallas Opera in 2019. Additionally, she has engaged in workshops organized by the European Network of Opera Academies in the United Kingdom (2010) and France (2011 and 2019).

Kluczyńska has been instrumental in promoting Polish operatic heritage. She conceived a concert series dedicated to forgotten Polish operas at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera. Her dedication to the arts has also led her to collaborate with various opera houses across Poland, as well as numerous distinguished symphony orchestras.
