Remembering Linda Kay Pierce Weber: A Life of Love and Family

Linda Kay Pierce Weber passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. Surrounded by her family, she transitioned to rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. Born on March 3, 1953, she was the daughter of the late William and June Pierce and grew up in Cassville, West Virginia.

Linda graduated from University High School in 1971 and married her lifelong partner, John Weber, on September 28, 1973. Their union lasted an impressive 51 years, defined by mutual support and affection.

A Dedicated Caregiver and Family Pillar

For two decades, Linda served as a custodian for the Monongalia County Board of Education, dedicating her time to ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff. After retiring, she devoted herself to caring for her grandchildren, earning the affectionate title of “Grammy” not only from her own grandchildren but also from many extended family members and friends.

Linda was a passionate supporter of the West Virginia Mountaineers, often seen cheering them on at games. Her greatest joy came from traveling, particularly to the beach, where she cherished moments spent reading under an umbrella with her family by her side. Her enthusiasm for life and unwavering support made her the biggest cheerleader for her loved ones.

Family and Legacy

Linda is survived by her husband, John Weber; her son, Tony Weber, and daughter-in-law, Mandy Weber; her daughter, Melinda Sickles, and son-in-law, Brandon Sickles; and five grandchildren: Hannah, Paden, Chloe, Bryce, and Carlie Sickles. She is also remembered by her sister, Sue Wolfe, and special niece, Shawna Hedrick, both of Morgantown, as well as numerous other family members.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Patricia and Frank Pierce. Her absence will be deeply felt by her many relatives and friends.

Family and friends will gather at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on September 1, 2025, from 16:00 to 20:00, and again on September 2 from 10:00 until the service at 11:00, officiated by Pastor Jim Weber. Linda will be laid to rest at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
