Bryan Battle Triumphs at Weigh-In Ahead of Dirty Boxing Debut

Bryan Battle successfully made weight for his upcoming bout at Dirty Boxing 3, marking a significant turnaround following his recent challenges in the UFC. The former winner of The Ultimate Fighter 29 faced difficulties in the past year, including a weight miss that led to his release from the UFC.
After struggling to meet the welterweight limit for his fight against Randy Brown in December 2023, Battle transitioned to middleweight. Unfortunately, he again failed to make weight for his scheduled match against Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC 319, weighing in at 190 pounds—four pounds over the 186-pound limit—resulting in the cancellation of the fight and his subsequent release from the organization.
New Beginnings with Dirty Boxing
Quickly signing with Mike Perry’s Dirty Boxing promotion, Battle is set to compete this Friday at DBX 3, held at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami. Demonstrating his commitment to his career, Battle successfully weighed in at the middleweight limit of 186 pounds on Thursday, paving the way for his debut in this new promotion.
He will face Derik de Freitas, who also made weight, ensuring that both fighters are ready for the matchup. This weigh-in achievement marks a vital moment for Battle as he aims to regain momentum in his professional career.
Event Details and Highlights
The main event at DBX 3 features a heavyweight title fight between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Rakim Cleveland. The event will also showcase several notable fighters, including Hector Lombard, Alex Caceres, Chase Sherman, and Phil Hawes, making it a highly anticipated night for MMA fans.
As Battle prepares to step into the octagon, anticipation builds for his performance and the potential new chapter in his fighting career. The weigh-in results for Dirty Boxing 3 are expected to draw significant attention, as audiences look forward to witnessing the matches unfold on Saturday.
