Meridian’s Third Thursday Celebrates Community with Live Music
On August 21, 2025, downtown Meridian came alive as the popular Third Thursday event returned to Dumont Plaza, drawing residents for an evening of food, drinks, and live music. Organized by the Meridian Council for the Arts, this monthly gathering fosters community spirit and showcases local talent in a family-friendly environment.
A Nostalgic Evening of Music
The evening featured a performance by the band Cruisin’ 8th, who captivated the audience with a selection of classic hits from the 1970s and 1980s. Their nostalgic tunes provided a perfect backdrop for attendees to reminisce and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Visitors indulged in a variety of culinary delights, with snacks from Munchies and More and refreshing cold drinks from Snow Biz. Adult beverages were provided by Mitchell Distributing and Magnolia Beverage, ensuring that there was something for everyone to enjoy.
