Frances T. Rennick, 88, Remembered for Her Contributions and Family

Frances T. Rennick, aged 88, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, at the Schuylkill Center in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Originally from St. Clair, she was born on September 15, 1936, to the late Francis and Mary (Ditcavage) Flanagan. Her life was marked by dedication to her family, community, and faith.

A proud graduate of St. Clair High School, Frances contributed to her local economy as a seamstress at the St. Clair Garment Factory. She was an active member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union (ILGWU). After her tenure in garment manufacturing, she retired from Jetson Mail Services in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.

Frances was a devout member of the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair. She dedicated much of her life to her family and was known for her warmth and compassion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Teno Rennick, who passed away in 2020, and two sisters, Margaret Gregory and Maryann Hosler.

She is survived by her children: Linda Breisch and her husband Nelson of Hershey, Michael Rennick and his wife Susan of St. Clair, and Lisa Kurilla and her husband James of Port Carbon. The family includes four grandchildren: Jimmy Kurilla and his wife Kaitlyn, Brittany Schenck and her husband Jordan, Matthew Breisch, and Kevin Breisch. Additionally, she is survived by two great-grandchildren, Kamryn Schenck and Oliver Kurilla, as well as her brother John Flanagan of Port Carbon, along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be held on August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, located at 250 E. Hancock Street, St. Clair, PA 17970. The service will be officiated by Msgr. William Glosser. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on the same day at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Compassus Hospice, located at 500 Hawk Ridge Drive, Suite 4, Hamburg, PA 19526. Following the memorial service, burial will take place privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pennsylvania.

Arrangements for the services are being handled by the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home in St. Clair. Frances T. Rennick’s legacy of love and dedication to her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.
