Gen.G Triumphs 2-0 Over Nongshim RedForce, Eyes Playoffs

Gen.G claimed a decisive 2-0 victory against Nongshim RedForce in the fourth round of the 2025 LCK at LoL Park in Seoul on March 14, 2025. The match showcased Gen.G’s dominance, with both games concluding in under an hour. Following the win, head coach Kim “KIM” Jeong-soo expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance but emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on the upcoming playoffs.
In a post-match interview, Coach KIM highlighted the clean execution of their strategy. “I’m happy we won cleanly. Our play was very clean,” he remarked. Player Duro also shared his enthusiasm, stating, “It feels good to win 2-0 cleanly. In both games, we responded well to the opponent’s set plays.”
Looking Ahead to the Playoffs
When asked about the draft choices for Game 2, Coach KIM noted that the specific champions selected, whether it be Pantheon or Azir, were not crucial to their success. “What’s important is the playoffs, so it doesn’t mean much,” he stated. He emphasized that preparation for best-of series, starting from the end of August, will be critical for the team’s success in the postseason.
The coach also commented on the competitive landscape within the Legends Group. “It seems like even within the Legends Group, the gap between the top three teams and the rest has become quite large,” he said. However, he cautioned that teams like KT and Nongshim could still face setbacks if they become complacent.
As Gen.G gears up for their next challenge, Coach KIM is focused on the upcoming match against Hanwha Life. “We’ll prepare well and make sure to win so we can give our fans the gift of victory,” he concluded. Duro echoed this sentiment, acknowledging Hanwha Life’s strength but affirming their commitment to securing another win.
With this victory, Gen.G not only solidifies its position in the Legends Group but also reinforces its aspirations for a successful playoff run. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely as the team prepares for the crucial matches ahead.
