A community-focused initiative is set to take place in Loveland, Colorado, with the upcoming Wednesday Walk at All Saints Episcopal Church and the completion of the “Week of Hope” service project, both designed to foster connection and support among residents.

On August 13, 2025, at 18:00, All Saints Episcopal Church will host a labyrinth walk aimed at helping individuals cope with personal and communal challenges. This event is open to people of all backgrounds and encourages participants to embrace their feelings, whether they are weary, hopeful, or seeking solace. Attendees will begin with a welcoming session and a centering prompt before engaging in quiet reflection and walking along the labyrinth path, which is intended to facilitate release, renewal, and deeper listening. The event concludes with a shared blessing, creating a communal atmosphere of support. For more information, contact Mary Thoma at [email protected] or call the church office at 970-667-0303.

Meanwhile, the “Week of Hope” organized by LoveFirst Community wrapped up recently, showcasing the dedication of local youth to community service. Over the course of several weeks, a total of 306 teenagers and their leaders participated in various local mission projects, contributing approximately 9,200 hours of volunteer work. These youths, representing 14 states including Wisconsin and North Carolina, collaborated with 16 local organizations such as Brigit’s Bounty, Habitat for Humanity, and Catholic Charities, providing vital services to the Loveland area.

The mission was led by three college-age women, including Mary Becker from Wisconsin, who guided daily operations. Lee Sparks, the Mission Team Leader for LoveFirst Community, emphasized the program’s impact: “This annual summer mission is a great way for youth to show love first in their actions and words. These youth and the churches who support them have given Loveland much-needed services this summer.”

The youths engaged in a variety of activities, from assisting at food banks to working with health and rehabilitation facilities. Their efforts not only supported local organizations but also fostered a sense of community among participants, who stayed and worshipped at the LoveFirst Community center located at 2000 N. Lincoln Ave..

In addition to these events, several faith-based activities are scheduled in Loveland. On August 17, 2025, Buckhorn Church will hold a Blessing of the Animals Worship Service from 10:30 to 11:30. The Campion Seventh-day Adventist Church will conclude its sermon series titled “The Secret: Your Key to Peace, Power, and Purpose” at 10:45 on the same day, while also offering Bible study classes for all ages at 9:30 every Saturday.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites visitors to its Fort Collins Temple grounds at 2180 Majestic Drive, which will be open to the public from 15:00 to 18:00 on Sundays through September 28. First United Methodist Church is hosting “August Outdoors” at 11:30 on Saturdays until August 24, and Namaqua Unitarian Universalist Congregation will explore the theme “Traffic Dharma: Lessons From the Road” at its 10:00 service on Sunday.

Furthermore, St. John the Evangelist Church’s Council of Catholic Women is seeking craft vendors for its annual Fall Festival and Craft Show scheduled for October 25-26. Vendor applications are currently being accepted, and tables for the two-day event are available for $40. Interested parties can reach out to Pat Laky at 970-689-0514.
