Ex-Prince Andrew Faces Conditions for Return to Royal Lodge
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Duke of York, must now seek permission to return to his previous residence, Royal Lodge, to retrieve his personal belongings. This new restriction follows a directive from King Charles III, who ordered Andrew to vacate the property under circumstances that insiders describe as abrupt. Reports suggest that Andrew left in haste, leaving behind a considerable number of personal items.
According to The Mirror, Andrew is no longer permitted to visit Royal Lodge freely. Instead, he must notify royal aides in advance and can only access the property at scheduled times. “It’s the latest in a long line of indignities for him,” one insider commented. “He will have to return and collect them, but may only do so by strict appointment.”
Clearing Out and Temporary Arrangements
A removal van was seen at Royal Lodge this week, indicating that the process of clearing Andrew’s remaining possessions is underway. For the time being, he is reportedly residing at Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate, a property previously occupied by his late father, Prince Philip, during his later years. This arrangement appears to be temporary, as Andrew is expected to transition to Marsh Farm, a four-bedroom home on the same estate, though this move is not anticipated for at least two months.
Activity around Wood Farm has increased, with builders’ vans and temporary facilities spotted nearby, suggesting preparations are in progress.
Support from Family
Amid these changes, Andrew reportedly finds support from his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The sisters are said to maintain regular contact with their father during this challenging period.
As circumstances unfold, Andrew’s situation highlights the evolving dynamics within the royal family and the impact of King Charles III’s leadership as he asserts new boundaries for former family members. The future remains uncertain for Andrew, who now navigates a landscape of restrictions while seeking stability in his living arrangements.
