Longtime Lowell Resident Allen N. Levesque Passes Away at 77

Allen N. Levesque, a longtime resident of Lowell, Massachusetts, died on November 24, 2025, at the age of 77 after a period of declining health. His passing marks the end of a life dedicated to family, community, and a range of personal interests.

Born on October 29, 1948, in Van Buren, Maine, Allen was the son of the late Claude and Cecile Gagnon Levesque. He lived in Lowell for many years and also resided in Dracut and Rochester, New Hampshire. Allen earned his living as a drywall installer and maintenance worker, contributing to the construction and upkeep of various properties throughout the greater Lowell area. He was a proud member of the Carpenters Union.

Allen was deeply rooted in his community. He was a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Parish in Lowell and actively participated in the former CCA Club. His interests spanned a wide range of activities; he enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage, and horseshoes. Allen also had a passion for gardening, dancing, and country music, and he was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins.

He is survived by his two children, Sonia Abreu and her husband, Jim, as well as Andre Levesque and his wife, Tracy. Allen leaves behind five grandchildren: James and Brian Abreu, Drew Carbonneau, and Ava and Lily Levesque. He also cherished relationships with his former wives, Marie-Beth Rodrigue Levesque and Claire Fournier Levesque, and her children, Michelle Elie and John Elie.

Family connections were important to Allen. He is survived by his sisters, Maryline Gagnon and Therese Rodrigue, his brother-in-law, Yvon Rodrigue, and his longtime companion, Maryann Beaupre. Additionally, he is remembered by his sister-in-law, Jeanne M. Levesque, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings, including Rolande Vaillancourt, Roger Levesque, Clarence Levesque, and Georgette Levesque, as well as brothers-in-law Percy Gagnon, Delton Vaillancourt, and Vincent Goforth.

In honor of Allen’s life, family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, located at 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Following the service, interment will be private. The arrangements are being handled by the Laurin Funeral Home in Lowell.

As the community mourns the loss of a dedicated father, grandfather, and friend, Allen’s legacy will continue through the cherished memories he created throughout his life.
