Avison Young Reports Surge in U.S. Commercial Real Estate Confidence for 2026
According to a recent report from Avison Young, optimism in the United States commercial real estate (CRE) sector is poised for a significant increase in 2026. Nearly 70% of the firm’s more than 270 surveyed experts expressed confidence in the market, a rise from 51% reported in mid-2025. This shift suggests a growing belief in the potential for renewed investment and sector growth as the new year approaches.
Growing Confidence in Commercial Real Estate
Harry Klaff, Principal and U.S. President of Avison Young, emphasized the essential role of commercial real estate in driving economic growth. “Commercial real estate is a major cornerstone of local and national economic growth – providing spaces for businesses to operate and bringing vibrancy to communities,” he stated. Klaff noted that the findings indicate a strengthening market with promising fundamentals that could support a resilient landscape for the upcoming year.
The survey results highlight a crucial shift in sentiment among real estate professionals. Jen Rosenak, Principal and U.S. Director of Market Intelligence, remarked, “Our survey is more than a forecast – it’s a roadmap for our clients. Nearly 70% of our professionals express confidence in the market – up sharply from mid-year.” This increase underscores the importance of real-time insights into market dynamics, which allow clients to navigate investment strategies effectively.
