Megan Thee Stallion has publicly criticized DJ Akademiks and Milagro Gramz, calling them “fake news” in a recent social media post. This remark follows a statement from her legal team regarding the ongoing defamation lawsuit against Gramz. Megan’s comments highlight her dissatisfaction with how certain media outlets report on her situation, particularly in light of the verdict in the case.

In her post, Megan expressed frustration with misinformation being circulated. She stated, “Thank you… Here they go lying again AS USUAL. If you want REAL MEDIA/NEWS know how to be Patient and know how to READ.” This statement was directed at journalist Meghann Cuniff on X (formerly Twitter) and came alongside clarification from her legal team about the court’s recent findings.

Megan’s legal representatives emphasized that the judge has not yet issued a final judgment in the defamation case. The previously reported figure of $75,000 pertains solely to the intentional infliction of emotional distress and the promotion of an altered sexual depiction of Megan. The ruling also mandates that Gramz is responsible for covering Megan’s legal fees. The judge will review post-verdict motions before determining the complete financial implications for Gramz.

According to Megan’s team, “Contrary to public statements issued by Milagro’s attorneys, the court has not issued a final judgment regarding the defamation count. The judge will make a final ruling and determine the entire financial amount that Milagro will be required to pay Megan, inclusive of legal bills and the defamation count, at a later date.”

In response to Megan’s remarks, DJ Akademiks addressed the situation during a livestream broadcast. He claimed that his information was sourced from NBC News and suggested that Megan was indirectly accusing the outlet of being unreliable. “We don’t know what you’re talking about at this point,” he remarked. Akademiks further accused Megan of favoring media outlets that provide her with positive coverage, stating, “She’s trying to take a shot at us independent media creators yet again.”

The ongoing legal dispute originates from accusations that Milagro Gramz disseminated several falsehoods about Megan following the shooting incident involving Tory Lanez. Additionally, it includes allegations of Gramz reposting deepfake pornographic videos of the artist.

As the situation continues to develop, both parties remain engaged in a broader conversation about media integrity and the impact of misinformation in the digital age. Megan’s case highlights the challenges public figures face in navigating their portrayals in the media while underscoring the importance of accurate reporting and responsible journalism.
