Trump Faces Declining Poll Numbers Amid Economic Concerns
Donald Trump’s approval ratings are experiencing a significant decline, according to his niece, Mary Trump. A combination of internal conflicts within the Republican Party, economic challenges, and the upcoming release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein are contributing to this downward trend. As the Trump administration faces mounting pressure, the latest polling data reveals troubling signs for the former president.
The situation is particularly alarming for Trump, as a recent poll from Fox News indicates that public sentiment towards his administration is deteriorating. Mary Trump highlighted the significance of this poll, stating, “Donald’s poll numbers are abysmal. He is polling horribly in multiple surveys across a wide range of audiences.” She noted that while Fox News may have its biases, its polling data is often viewed as credible, making the results even more damaging for Trump.
One striking finding from the Fox News poll shows that 60% of respondents feel their personal financial situation is either “fair or poor.” This figure has remained unchanged since March 2025, underscoring persistent economic challenges faced by many Americans. Additionally, 76% of those surveyed described the state of the economy as “poor or fair.” Only 25% of participants believe the nation’s economy is in good shape, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction.
Recent polling data also reveals an average disapproval rating of 55% for Trump. A poll conducted by J.L. Partners between November 19 and 20, 2023, which surveyed 1,244 registered voters, found that 49% disapproved of Trump’s performance while only 41% approved. This represents a shift from a mid-October poll, where Trump held a 46% approval rating. For the first time in his political career, Trump’s approval rating is negative across all major polls.
The growing dissatisfaction among voters may pose significant challenges for Trump as he navigates the complexities of the current political landscape. With economic conditions weighing heavily on public sentiment, the former president faces an uphill battle in regaining the support he once enjoyed.
As the political environment continues to evolve, the implications of these polling results could have far-reaching effects on Trump’s future endeavors, particularly as he prepares for the upcoming election cycle. The intersection of economic concerns and voter sentiment may ultimately define his political trajectory in the months to come.
