Lowndes County Food Establishments Achieve High Scores in Inspections
Food safety inspections conducted in Lowndes County have yielded impressive results, with several local establishments receiving top scores. The inspections, which took place between November 14 and November 18, 2025, highlighted the commitment of these food service providers to maintaining high standards.
Lowndes High School, located at 1112 N. St. Augustine Rd., achieved a perfect score of 100 during its recent inspection on November 18. This reflects the school’s dedication to providing safe and healthy meals for its students.
Another notable performer was Popeye’s, situated at 2119 Bemiss Rd., which scored 95 on the same day. The restaurant is well-known in the community for its flavorful chicken dishes, and this score underscores its commitment to food safety.
In addition, South Georgia Medical Center, located at 2501 N. Patterson St., received a perfect score of 100 on November 17. This achievement is particularly significant given the importance of food safety in healthcare facilities.
Other establishments also excelled in their inspections. Fat Tony’s Subs, LLC, found at 414 Northside Dr., scored 97 on November 17. Bungalow’s Bar & Grill, located at 1919 Baytree Pl., also received a score of 100 on the same day, showcasing its commitment to high-quality service and safety.
Gourmet Guys, situated at 2105 Delvid St., achieved another perfect score of 100 on November 14. This establishment is known for its unique offerings and has clearly prioritized food safety in its operations.
