Jordon Hudson Threatens Legal Action Against Pablo Torre Over Reports
Jordon Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of NFL coach Bill Belichick, has announced plans to sue sports journalist Pablo Torre following his reports regarding her relationship and alleged restrictions at the University of North Carolina (UNC). Hudson shared her intentions on Instagram, posting a selfie while wearing a necklace that reads “Banned,” likely referencing Torre’s claims that she was prohibited from accessing UNC’s football facilities.
On May 9, 2024, Torre, a former ESPN staff member and current podcaster, aired a detailed report on his podcast, “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” stating that sources within UNC informed him that Hudson was no longer allowed in the football building or on the field. In response to Hudson’s Instagram post, Torre commented, “Hi @Jordonbella, I assume this means you’re declining my invitation to be a guest on @pablofindsout? Either way, I look forward to hearing from you!”
UNC later clarified its position regarding Hudson’s involvement with the football program. A spokesperson stated, “While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities.” This statement, made to Us Weekly on the same day as Torre’s report, aimed to address the growing concerns surrounding Hudson’s role and access.
Torre has reported extensively on Hudson and Belichick’s relationship, which has drawn attention due to their 49-year age difference. He noted that the Belichick family has expressed “extraordinarily concerned” feelings about the relationship, questioning Hudson’s age and suggesting that she may have misrepresented her age when they first met in 2021.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Torre also discussed an incident involving Hudson’s behavior during a taping of a new NFL Films production in September 2024. He pointed out that Hudson was overheard disparaging comments during a recording session, which further fueled the media scrutiny surrounding her.
This weekend, Hudson’s legal threats come in the wake of various reported incidents involving her and Belichick’s family. Reports indicate that Jen Schmitt, Belichick’s daughter-in-law, engaged in a lengthy tirade against Hudson following a November 8, 2024, UNC football game. The two reportedly avoided each other during the game, watching from separate suites.
As this story continues to evolve, Hudson’s legal action against Torre raises questions about media reporting and the boundaries of personal relationships in the spotlight. The implications of this case may extend beyond Hudson and Torre, potentially impacting how journalists cover high-profile figures in the sports world.
The developments are significant not only for Hudson and Torre but also for public interest in the dynamics of relationships involving prominent individuals. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how both parties will respond to the legal threats and the ongoing scrutiny from the media and public alike.
