Kingston Parks Commits to Utah Football, Following Brother’s Legacy
Kingston Parks, a promising high school receiver from Texas, announced his commitment to the University of Utah’s football program on social media on the evening of March 14, 2024. This decision marks a significant step in his athletic career, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Money Parks, who played for the Utes from 2020 to 2024.
During his tenure at Utah, Money Parks established himself as a key player, concluding his college career with impressive statistics that include 79 receptions for 1,013 yards and eight touchdowns. Kingston, currently a junior in high school, has already shown potential as a standout receiver, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 170 pounds. His size and skill set distinguish him from his brother, who is 5-foot-10.
As part of the Class of 2027, Kingston Parks has garnered attention from several universities. So far, Arizona State University is the only other Power Five school to offer him a scholarship. In addition, he has received offers from programs including Middle Tennessee State University, North Texas, and Sacramento State. Kingston Parks is set to visit the Utah campus this weekend, where he will explore the facilities and meet with coaches.
Building a Family Legacy at Utah
The commitment of Kingston Parks adds to a growing list of prospects joining the Utah football program. He becomes the second high school athlete to commit to the Utes for the 2027 recruiting class. Interestingly, the other recruit, Thaddeus Thatcher, is the brother of current Utah freshman linebacker Christian Thatcher. This trend of brothers joining the same program underscores a developing legacy within the Utes’ football community.
Utah’s coaching staff has been actively recruiting to strengthen their roster for the upcoming seasons. With Kingston Parks’ commitment, the Utes not only tap into a family connection but also bolster their receiving corps as they look to build on past successes. The 2024 season is expected to bring renewed energy and enthusiasm, especially with promising talent like Kingston joining the ranks.
As Kingston prepares for his visit to Utah, the excitement surrounding his commitment highlights the ongoing effort of the Utes to secure top prospects and maintain a competitive edge in college football. With a family history rooted in the program, Kingston Parks is poised to make his mark in the future of Utah football.
