National Police Association Backs Stop ANTIFA Act of 2025
The National Police Association (NPA) has endorsed the Stop ANTIFA Act of 2025, a legislative proposal aimed at codifying President Donald Trump‘s Executive Order designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. This endorsement, made public on November 12, 2025, highlights the NPA’s support for measures intended to confront perceived threats to public safety and order.
In September, President Trump issued an Executive Order asserting that Antifa employs intimidation and violence to pursue its political objectives. This includes armed confrontations with law enforcement, assaults on officers, and organized riots. The Executive Order also instructs federal agencies to investigate and prosecute illegal activities linked to Antifa members and their affiliates.
Legislative Framework to Address Domestic Terrorism
The Stop ANTIFA Act of 2025, introduced by Senator Rick Scott of Florida, is currently under consideration by the Senate Judiciary Committee. This bill aims to formalize the President’s directive into law, establishing a framework for federal investigations into individuals and organizations that undermine the rule of law. This includes those who financially support violent activities, potentially through money laundering practices.
In a statement, Paula Fitzsimmons, Legislative Director of the NPA, emphasized the importance of this legislation. “Americans should never be held hostage by those who so brazenly use violence, intimidation, and coercion to attain their goals,” she remarked. Fitzsimmons argued that the bill would empower law enforcement to hold accountable both the perpetrators of violence and their financial backers.
Furthermore, the NPA believes the Stop ANTIFA Act represents a comprehensive national strategy to dismantle and prosecute those involved in acts of domestic terrorism. Fitzsimmons expressed gratitude to Senator Scott for his role in introducing the bill, describing it as a necessary step in the fight against domestic threats.
Call to Action for Legislative Support
The National Police Association is rallying support for the Stop ANTIFA Act of 2025, urging Congress to back the initiative. The organization states that the bill, which aligns with the President’s stance on Antifa, is crucial for the safety of law-abiding citizens and the support of dedicated law enforcement officers.
To further its cause, the NPA encourages individuals to join its Call to Action team, which provides updates on relevant legislation and guidance on how to advocate for anti-crime and pro-police measures.
In summary, the endorsement of the Stop ANTIFA Act of 2025 by the National Police Association highlights a concerted effort to address concerns surrounding domestic terrorism and to enhance the tools available to federal agencies in their response to these challenges. The bill’s progress will be closely monitored as it moves through the legislative process.
