New Wellness Patch Brand Half Past 8 Launches for Busy Lifestyles
A new wellness brand, Half Past 8, has officially launched its range of wearable wellness patches, targeting consumers with busy lifestyles. The brand is now available for purchase directly from its website and at Printemps in New York City. This innovative approach seeks to disrupt the supplement market with three distinct patches: Deep Sleep, Energy & Focus, and Stress & Mood, each priced at $52.
Each patch is designed to address specific wellness needs. The Deep Sleep patch contains ingredients such as melatonin, L-theanine, and skullcap herb powder to facilitate better sleep. The Energy & Focus patch incorporates yerba mate and panax ginseng to provide a sustainable energy boost without the typical crash associated with energy products. Finally, the Stress & Mood patch features St. John’s wort and a B-vitamin complex to support balanced cortisol levels.
Co-founders Meto, who runs a private training gym in Los Angeles, and Kyle Pierce, founder of health tech company Options MD, were motivated to create Half Past 8 after the birth of their son. “Life all of a sudden changed: less sleep, low energy, a lot of stress,” Meto recounted. This shift led them to explore simpler wellness solutions that could seamlessly fit into their new routine. “How do we simplify wellness now that our lives have changed?” Kyle added, emphasizing the desire for premium wellness that addresses everyday challenges.
The patches utilize transdermal technology, allowing ingredients to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream over an eight-hour period. This method avoids the digestive tract, which can diminish the potency of traditional pills and powders. “These patches use a set of ingredients that are specifically formulated to absorb through your skin,” Kyle explained. “It’s able to absorb through the dermis and go directly into the bloodstream.”
Kyle highlighted the Deep Sleep patch as particularly effective, noting that many consumers tend to overconsume melatonin through traditional forms. “When you’re digesting a gummy or taking a pill, it has to go through your digestive tract, meaning you’re absorbing very little,” he stated. Users of the patch have reported statistically significant improvements in their sleep quality, as measured by devices like the Oura ring and Whoop.
Testing and feedback have been vital for the brand’s development. Meto has engaged clients at his gym to trial the patches, gathering insights from individuals frequently traveling globally. “They’re calling me, ‘Hey, can you get me more sleeping patches or energy patches?’” he shared. This direct feedback has been instrumental in refining the products.
In addition to leveraging word-of-mouth marketing, Half Past 8 plans to utilize digital platforms to educate consumers on the efficacy of patches. Kyle noted that trend forecasts suggest patches will become increasingly popular in the wellness and beauty sectors over the next five years. “We hope to be the leaders of that in the U.S. market,” he said.
One of the brand’s distinctive features is its focus on effective dosages. Many existing patch brands have opted for smaller, aesthetically pleasing designs, which might compromise effectiveness. Kyle and Meto’s commitment to delivering potent formulations sets Half Past 8 apart from competitors.
Looking ahead, the founders hinted at a new weight management product set to launch in early 2026, along with potential expansions into other product formats. “Our entire product development thesis is around wellness that moves with you,” Kyle explained. They envision solutions that not only provide long-term benefits but also deliver immediate effects, such as portable wellness mints.
With Half Past 8, Meto and Kyle are positioned to meet the rising demand for convenient health solutions that fit seamlessly into the lives of modern consumers. Their innovative patches represent a significant step forward in the wellness industry, aiming to simplify health management for individuals on the go.
