Two Hospitalized Following Fire in Two-Vehicle Collision

A collision involving two vehicles on Camp Plenty Road and Soledad Canyon Road resulted in one vehicle catching fire and two individuals requiring hospitalization on the evening of October 1, 2023. According to Deputy Mariela Picard, a public information officer with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, deputies were dispatched to the scene at 10:24 p.m. and arrived just two minutes later.

Both vehicles sustained considerable damage in the crash, with one igniting shortly after the collision. The Los Angeles County Fire Department received an emergency call at 10:27 p.m. and reached the scene by 10:34 p.m., as reported by spokeswoman Edith Lai. Firefighters worked quickly to control the blaze and transported at least one individual to the hospital for treatment.
