Medicare Part D Open Enrollment Starts October 16 in Guam
The annual open enrollment period for Medicare Part D, the federal program providing prescription drug coverage, will commence in Guam on October 16, 2025, and conclude on December 7, 2025. This announcement comes from the Department of Public Health and Social Services’ Division of Senior Citizens, highlighting the enrollment dates specific to Guam due to its time zone differences compared to the U.S. mainland.
During this enrollment window, Medicare beneficiaries are encouraged to evaluate their current drug plans, as costs and covered benefits are subject to change annually. Beneficiaries may choose to enroll in a new drug plan, switch plans, or opt out of the program entirely. The Division of Senior Citizens emphasizes the importance of selecting options that best align with individual health needs.
Enrollment Support and Educational Presentations
To assist beneficiaries, the Division of Senior Citizens will offer enrollment appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. until December 3, 2025. These sessions will take place at their office located at 130 University Drive, Suite 8, Castle Mall building, Mangilao. Additionally, educational presentations about Medicare Part D will be conducted every Thursday, starting on October 16 and running through December 4, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
It is important to note that there will be no counseling sessions on November 11 in observance of Veterans Day, and no presentations will be held on November 27 due to Thanksgiving.
